Shannon's getting older & all the magic has gone. It's still fun to surprise her, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Brendan's face at all the festivities this year. He'll be 3 & everything will be so exciting to him. We are pretty much dead broke this year because of our situation so we won't be focusing so much on the material aspects. I will just enjoy being around my family & relaxing & playing with the kids.

I hate the exchanging presents aspect. I'm just not into the commercial aspect of Christmas. However, I love being around family and friends during this time. So basically, I'm a bah-humbug sort.

I can't really stand the holidays. I hate shopping and really hate being obligated to spend time around people I don't like just because it's the holidays. I have virtually NO family in the state and my husband's family...well you know. Joe is older and I agree with Misty that much of the magic is gone. Sean will be at his mother's this Christmas also and he is the only little one around so.... I'm just not into it.

I like the holidays and until this last year (since the move) would celebrate a variety of holidays throughout the year and in so doing teach my kids to appreciate other cultures' holidays. But now with just the youngest (17) at home I don't get as excited or do as much.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving since my mom and sister are flying out to visit which will be the first time in about nine or ten years. Gift giving has gotten much simpler over the last couple years which has been nice.

Hey Guys, I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS
I AM SO EXCITED ALREADY. I even have Christmas Songs playing in my house woohoo!!!!!!
Unfortunatley i am working this Christmas Day. I am on a BackShift which is at 330pm and was meant to be on straight through to Boxing Day at 330pm. As my work wanted me to do a Sleep Over. But my Service User is now going home on Christmas Eve at 2pm and coming home between 10am and Mid-day on Boxing Day. So at least i have Christmas Night with my folks.
This is the first year i have EVER worked Christmas Day. But i get 3 days leading up to Christmas off and then i'm on straight through until 30th December. Then off for the Hogmanay Festivities which i so cant wait for heehee!!!
Went past 3 houses tonight with their decorations up. And a house along from me has their Out House Decorations up. But they do not put the lights etc on until 1st December.
I AM SO EXCITED WOOHOO!!!!!!! My City is putting on The City's Christmas Lights this weekend pity i am working!!!!!!

I like spending time with just me and the girls at home, with them off for 2 weeks of school. I decorate with and for them, I would just put light on the outside of the house if it was just me alone!
I do hate xmas shopping, but the thing I really cannot stand is wrapping presents, it is so tedious and non rewarding to me! But I do it for the girls.

This is my most favorite time of the year! I am already mega excited about the thought of shopping the day after Thanksgiving! I get even more excited when it comes time to get the tree & break out the decorations! Shoot, I'm getting all giddy just thinking of it!

LC, Wrapping presents is the best part of Christmas to me aside from having family, friends around. I love wrapping presents and usually spend more on that than the present. I love adding little bells, pretty bulbs, sparkly pine cones, berries, branches of holly or pine branches and what ever I can think of that looks Christmas-ee tied within the bows. But I hate the shopping part with a passion. I hate shopping in general.
