When a child is in a manic phase, they aren't as likely to be euphoric, outgoing and charming like an adult. They are more likely to be loud, confrontational and destructive, lashing out at people around them. I didn't mean to imply that your son may be bipolar. If you have reason to suspect that he might, you should read what we have in the early onset bipolar board here. We have links to many articles which are on other sites as well. This is the link to conditions that mimic or are comorbid with ADHD. adhdldsupport.proboards107.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=adhdkids&thread=1178350040Remember though that many parents think there is more going on than ADHD simply because they don't understand just what all it entails, so please don't let yourself get terribly upset. Once you have a diagnosis from a neuropsych, you will have so many answers that you have been seeking and can really start to get your son the help he needs.
