Meeting tomorrow

My meeting with my son's teachers is tomorrow (Mon. 11/19). I am totally dreading it. He started getting sick a lot and finally admitted it was because he didn't understand the work in certain classes. He got behind in everything and is nearly caught up but the school guidance counselor called me to tell me several of his teachers wanted a meeting, so I have to meet with them all at once. They want ds there.

I know they are going to say his problems are due to his being absent and not believe that he was making himself sick because he couldn't do the work. I've been there before and its a great excuse to keep him from getting all the help he needs. He is getting more help this year though so I plan to tell them I appreciate it.

Wish me well! I am not looking forward to it at all!

GOOD LUCK! Hopefully it won't be as bad as you think it will. Hopefully they will be more understanding & willing to help then they were last time you had this experience.

Hope the meeting goes well. I'm surprised that they want your son to come to the meeting. Maybe they just want to reassure him that their there to support him.

Good Luck. I know how stressful these meetings can be. And I totally understand your son feeling sick about school. Josh did that his whole 4th grade year. They make themselve so upset sometimes. Just breaks your heart.

We survived. It wasn't bad at all. I don't have time to tell about it now but I will as soon as I can.
