Last night she did her homework no arguments so we celebrated and I pointed out to her how much free time she had by just doing it. Her worst subject is math and I found her a tutor to help.

UGH !! Homework !! ..... The bane of my life for many years !! The thing I found worked the best for us was to say "OK ... at what time will YOU be ready to do your homework?" .... and this actually surprised me because he would come up with a time that was actually ACCEPTABLE !! ... i.e. well before bedtime!! LOL!!... and "generally" I found when he had made his "own" time it worked a lot better than when "I" dictated the time the homework was done ... Anyway .... it worked for us ( much of the time ... but I won't say all !) .. One thing that rarely worked for us was trying to get him to do it straight after school ... I am with Misty here ... he needed time to "unwind" before starting on homework ...

She shocked us Friday she had a worksheet to complete and pulled it out while I was cooking and just did it independently. I thought who are you and what did you do to my child then I made a big deal out of it and wrote her teacher a note so they can as well. I treated her by letting her stay up late Friday night and we made homeade cookies today sugar cookie cut outs.
