Actually, you did a wonderful job of explaining and thanks so much. I just like it clear in my head what others experiences are so I can either send encouragement or play it down if someone is asking questions about any given thing. Thanks.

I've used caffeine for Josh when we needed a little boost for homework or a family event. I would buy those little mini cans of Mountain Dew and just let him drink one about a half and hour before I needed him to be focased. It has always worked well for him. We don't really do it too often anymore, but if he has a BIG homework night, we stop at the store before we get home. He'll let me know because I don't keep pop in the house.
It's funny, when he was little and we'd go to big birthday parties, all the parents would be like "Oh, Johnny...not too much Coke". And I would be yelling "Hey Josh, want another one"! Worked like a charm.

Caffiene has never affected my kids adversly....but I haven't let them have it a ton either....
Sometimes when chase is having a hard time waking up, I get him excited about it by telling him that once he is ready to go, he can have some mt. dew to help him wake up. He will hurry and get ready and then only drink about 4 swallows before the bus comes...
