Theres so many germs on money from changing hands so often. I buy used books or trade books with my friends. Not only does it save me money, but it saves a tree or 2 along the way.

That's why they invented credit and debit cards....because of the germs on money. Isn't it? Actually I'm a collector of antique/old books but I make an exception to elderly germs. Sorry, I took this off-topic.

Yes you did jj, but I will forgive you even though it made me anxious, cause I love you in that sisterly way!
I did go to the bookstore today and did not find that book either, so I guess John will have to give us the "John Notes" version of it. I still will check at the library though.
I kind of wnated to see it to see what the PTSD stuff said as I do not really understand that part of the spectrum of anxiety disorders?

Maybe you can ask your library if they can get it on an intra-library loan. We have a small library in our town and it helps us to be able to check out books we normally don't have access to.
If you check it out there and want a copy, you could look for it on e-bay or Amazon for a good deal.

LC, the info that they covered on PTSD was very limited and just 'skimmed the surface' as the saying goes.

Hi everyone! I'm a "newbie" here, but I saw this thread and wanted to reply. I'm currently on Effexor for anxiety and it seems to help but I'm like a few of you-been struggling w/the nail biting since I was little. I'm not on any meds for my ADHD anymore but the Effexor has done WONDERS!!!!!!! I'm no longer as much of a basketcase when it comes to my kids and crazy little anxieties as I was before I started taking it. Wow, you know, I was looking back at this message and came across this reply! And guess what? I have now been on effexor for the past ummm month I guess. I am not a promoter of any one method at all of dealing with ADHD, but in my personal case. The effexor has been a life saver for me! My anxiety was starting to eat my lunch and it took a good pysc to help me understand that it was OK to try effexor and if it did not work, stop taking it. The effexor has taken away all my upper muscle pain and spasms and my hands no longer feel arthritic! I am also much more even natured and my ADHD meds are now as effective as they used to be! Just goes to show I guess that even though we have ADHD, we are all still unique in our response to interventions!
