I don't know how I missed this-I am so sorry Josh is dealing with this. Sean's anxiety is a huge problem for him and I know it would be so hard for him if he had the "wrong" kind of teacher. I hope things went well with her today.

Not very happy this evening...can't even bring myself to talk about it right now...sorry. Just a quick update...I spoke to Josh's principle briefly this morning, she is just so great. She stated that Josh has really been struggling over the past week. She has him 3rd hour for science and has seen a huge increase in his hyperactivity and also just tuning out. She can usually bring him back quickly and does a great job being postitive with him. She's noticed that he is regressing back to the behavior that we had in 4th grade when he was treated so poorly by his teacher. She is very concerned, as I, and I let her know that I suspect he is once again being singled out and disrespected. We are going to talk more tomorrow. As for his teacher, she was giving me a really bad vibe today during the field trip. She's usually very talkie-talkie with me and today she just ignored me. Josh was great during the field trip, but apparently the afternoon didn't go as well. She pulled him out into the hallway and repremanded him about something he did in class, when the kid next to him did the same thing and a word wasn't said to him. Same old crap...I'm so tired of my "labeled" kid getting the short end of the stick. I just don't get it...the year has been going so well...now she's treating him like crap. I can't talk right now gals...I'm way to emotional...thanks for your concern. I think I'll be more together tomorrow.

I'd be emotional too! At least the principal is seeing it and recognizes what triggered it before so she will take you seriously. Thats a big step in the right direction.

sounds like you need to absorb this and make a plan, I think the teacher is being an idiot for some reason!

Gosh bugs i sure hope you and Josh can pull thru this. At least you have the weekend and he can have a couple days of not being treated like crap. I fully understand what you are going thru. You think everything is all fine and good and then BAM smacks ya in the face. I am not a confrentaional person but I do not like to see my kids being treated like crap or anyother kid for that matter. And i have bursted out in tears befor too. I felt like the biggest cry baby. Jarred does the same thing. Jarred has also been that labeled kid. He is always the first to get into trouble whether he did it or not. Then they wonder why he shuts down and gets an attitude and wont do any work. I sorry this happened and i hope you have a good weekend. Big hugs to you and Josh!
