Can you believe 1/2 a month is gone already!! How is everyone doing?
I wanted to say I added a new trick to my day. I never seem to drink enough water in the day, so I have added 20 oz BEFORE my coffee in the A.M. It seems to be helping. I also added carrots to a PM snack, but every time I have eaten them, my tounge starts to sting. I think it's an allergic reaction. Those darn carrots don't want to be eaten! So I will have to find a replacement. Maybe fresh broccoli.
Anywho...I weighed myself this morning and came in at 174. I'm excited! Can't wait to hit 170.
Can't wait to hear from you all.

130...still. Still drinking the evil Pepsi. I did buy lemons and tried that in water. Made it one day until about 1:00 when my headache got so bad I went to Wawa and bought a giant fountain soda. So I am slowly cutting down. I can't do it cold turkey. I am terrible at this!

I have still not bought a new scale....must be my passive/aggressive way of not having to weigh myself.....BUT I am still doing my best to eat smaller portions, and drink more water...still only drinking a Mt. Dew every third or fourth day at the most....not missing it nearly as much as I feared....KK, my headache lasted 3 DAYS....soooo, I am thinking I had better not go back to the higher amounts or I will have to do go through that again.....
I grab an apple, a granola bar and a bottle of water...eat the apple and granola bar in the car on the way to school, sip the water through my first class....my goal is to have it gone by the time that class is done...it only lasts an hour and my drive is an hour..so that is 16 ounces in 2 hours. Then I don't eat again till I get home at 1:45 or 2....usually another piece of fruit and something leftover from supper, sometimes the piece of fruit fills me up enough....I love egg drop soup, so many times I have that...
I really hope all of this is doing me some good....I am hungry a lot of the time....
I am also severely addicted to my local Chinese place....the crab rangoons are to die for.....yummy seasoned green beans, roasted potatoes with peppers and onions...great egg drop soup.....I could eat it every day, but talk myself out of it as much as possible...I always have it on Monday nights when I work at Jonna's dance studio....and usually one other time during the week I succumb...

I could not find where this post was to be honest why this took me awhile to find. I blame it on the dizziness I was having. As for dieting I have been bad too busy focusing on blood testing and other health problems.

KK- Keep working on it. You are beating a caffeine addiction, so cold turkey isn't a good idea. Can you stand diet soda? You could always cut back the amount, and only drink diet while doing it.
Ok puzzled - Go get that scale!! You'll probably get one and have dropped ten lbs. lol. If you are feeling hungry all the time, you may not be eating enough. Have you counted how many calories is in the meal you eat? You should log it for one day and make sure your above 1000 and closer to 1500. Also, I wrote a comment on Week #2 about chinese food. Check it out. And one cup of egg drop soup without noodles is 70 calories. Not bad at all, so I don't see any reason to feel guilty about that one.
Jill! You have to take care of your health first and foremost. I hope things start to stabilize now that you know what was causing the problems. We'll be here when you start feeling better.

I got on my scale...the one I am not sure is reliable...and I weigh 183.5 which is a loss of a pound and a half.....I will try to stop and get a scale after school on Monday. I am betting that I am hungry because I used to pig out...my stomach has to adjust, LOL.

Well, I really love dieting stories because I lost lots of weight long ago... long story, lol I have kept my weight for many years even when I got pregnant (I just gained what is expected). But I have to admit that I do love soda, Pepsi, I just go for the diet one though I know many don't like it. I do drink a huge cooler of water while I am teaching at school. Sometimes I gain a little weight, maybe two or three pounds, but I lose them immediately as I start working. I also add soy lecithin as daily supplement because it helps to break fats. I also take grounded flax seeds mixed with water every morning before I go to work; I have done this for several years, and as time has passed I have learned that it does help to keep a good weight and to keep all blood levels normal. Every time I have a blood work it comes out perfect; so, if this is because of the flax seeds, I truly recommend it... Well, keep strong ladies!!! If I could lose about 50 pounds, anyone can.

My husband takes lecithin and flax seed as well. He also drinks lots of Green Tea, which helps curb his appetite and increases his metabolism. Plus the little bit of caffeine helps him through the day without coffee.

Anon, I was just reading your hubby's blog on the new site you posted and I have to ask. What the heck is a Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge? That just cracked me up. O.K. You guys, I'm not ready to start watching my calories and food intake. I'm enjoying it too much at the moment. But hopefully looking in the mirror will soon outweigh my need to stuff things in my mouth all the time. Cheering for you guys.

That post was funny. It's just the brand of cheese (Laughing cow) and they have a soft cheese in little wedges. You can spread them on crackers or toast. www.thelaughingcow.com/Not only did he call the cheese "tiny wedges of deliciousness" and "wedges of perfection wrapped in foil triangles" he also states: "I am convinced that this Happy cow cheese is created artificially on a space craft not of this world using cows that were taken in the 1950's by the same extra terrestrial beings that make crop circles and is now imported here by the Chinese government for resale in a ploy for world dominance" He's a funny guy. He's still working on getting the new site up and running. There is complications transferring all the posts and all the comments over to the new site. He'll probably look into it today. Anon
