A few weeks ago I went to the movies with Annette and she ate too much junk and when we got home she threw up a few times fighting i all the way. Since then she this has been an on and off thing where she would say she feels sick and did go in the bathroom and did throw up a little nothing major since then it is like a habit always saying she does not feel good after eating and runs into the bathroom gagging and spitting into the toilet. I have been trying to figure it all out like writing down everything she eats to see if she is eating too much for example but found she is not eating a lot.
On Thanksgiving at my brothers house she ate some dinner and ran to the bathroom saying she felt ill and did the gagging thing and mostly spitting into the toilet. She just sat there crying and shaking until we had to drag her home and once home she felt fine. We did a movie last evening she refused to eat and did not eat really all day only some nibbles and after wards said she was hungry so we took her somewhere her choice and when the food came she said she was not hungry anymore and only ate 3 bites and ran to the bathroom crying same deal once home she was cured. I am at a loss is this now part of her anxiety or something else or attention seeking? Last year we had the shoe problem now this and today she is refusing to eat anything. She has a doctors appointment on Tuesday any ideas?

I wondered about anxiety when you said she is usually fine once she gets home. I'm glad you have a dr's appt soon so you can find out.
Have there been any changes in her meds in the last few months, either a new one or an increase in one she was taking? Has she gained any weight that might make one she is on not be working as well?
I hope the dr can figure it out so she can put this behind her. Poor kid!

Actually her meds were increased from 10 MG to 20 MG a month ago. Last night I ordered subs for dinner and she did fine no problems the test will be taking her out somewhere to see if it is anxiety.

I understand your concern and am interested in what the doctor says. I wondered about anxiety too especially at this time of year. The holiday season starts before Halloween and continues with festivities and bombarding commercialism everywhere until we fall from exhaustion after New Years. Issues with anxiety (depression too) are often heightened now. I hope the doctor can figure it out. Good luck tomorrow.

I'm fairly certain by what you said, she is not trying to seek attention. I don't think one can fake "shaking" or even think to "shake" at her age and it is pretty hard to fake gagging unless you put a finger down your throat. So I'm fairly certain you can rule that out although I understand why you mentioned it.
There is no doubt anxiety could cause this. Poor kid. And poor you. I hope the doc can figure this all out.

Here we call it Restaurant Bulemia...Justin, (CP child) no ADHD or anxiety, throws up when ever we go to a restaurant. Doesn't matter where, what time of day, he could be starving, as soon as we walk in and sit down, he starts shaking, crying and then puking where ever he sits....He also does it alot when we are some where over the holidays, though he doesn't throw up as much at a house, he will start to shake, say his belly hurts, and will eat nothing till we get home...I thought i was really weird, but hearing someone else say it, maybe it is really something....I would love to know how you make out with the doctor....

The doctor just wants me to keep an eye on things for now. I have noticed she has been eating less lately even at home. She has not had another incident yet however we did not go out anywhere yet. We are planning to go out one day this weekend and that would be the test. Her decrease in appetite I am a little concerned if it worsens I would be calling the doctor back. He is not concerned at this time and we go back in 6 months for follow up. He does want her to have more calcium which we struggle with for she is not a milk girl and when she likes something she does it full blast and after two weeks she does not want it anymore always searching.
