Hi!,
Iam new to this site and wanted to get to know everyone! My son is 8 years old (Robert) ADHHHHD. Ds has been having a very hard time with school! He has been on diffrent meds and natural remidies with not much sucess. We just started him on Tanex and hope things will be getting better! I have 3 kiddos all together. Julia is 3 and Doninic is 1. Iam a stay home mom. My husband is the only one that works! He has a crazy scedual and is hardly ever home at the same times. Summer is here and his summerl job will leave me feeling like a single parent! Again! he will only have one day off a week!
Is anyone else gining their child Tanex (Gaufacine)? If so hows it going?

 Hi Meli! Welcome! WOW! you have your hands full! (I have a 1 year old nephew who keeps me running every time I watch him!) My daughter is 12, ADD inattentive & unmedicated. Omega3 (fish oil) has helped her concentration enough & she had terrible side effects from meds. I've been through some of the school nightmares so I know where you're coming from there. She's doing great right now but I foresee a whole host of new problems next year as she enters Jr. High. Her organizational skills are sometimes non-existent! I've never tried Tenex, but I'm sure others have & will chime in as they see your post. Meanwhile, theres a lot of great info, tips, etc. throughout the boards here. Make yourself at home & feel free to post questions in the different boards. You might want to post your son's school problems in the school board. There are many helpful, supportive members here. |

Hi meli! I am so happy to see you made it here! You already know that Chase is on the guanfacine, and how much I like it for his issues, but feel free to post questions or PM them to me.....I will be glad to help.

Sorry, I just had to laugh at ADHHHD. Welcome to the site! I'm probably the odd women out as I'm here for my niece who is ADHD and possibly bipolar. My niece has not been on Tanex so I'm afraid I can't help you either but I did want to welcome you.

tigger what kinds of side effects did your son have? Was it immediately that he had problems or after a while on it? My son has been on it since late December with nothing but good stuff so far....I just want to know what I should watch out for....
