I recently took a six hour test, (and what to call it, I've no idea) given by a neuropsychologist because my mother and myself believe that I not only have ADHD but that I am dyscalculiac.
I've spoken to my high school diagnostician, and she didn't take me seriously. Ouch. So now I'm in "the easy math", or math models class. even with that class, it's a struggle every long, grueling day.
What is it that test might have been? How can I get into an easier, or have special learning plans, math course? Any other advice?
Thanks, Q.

If a neuropsychologist administered the evaluation, he or she should go over the results with you and make suggestions. Have you had a follow up appointment to go over the results? If not, ask your mom to make one. If you live in the US and the eval showed you have a disability, there are laws that apply to your education and the school has to make sure they are giving you an appropriate education.
Its really hard to tell what you are entitled to at this point since we have information to go on other than that math is very hard for you. Any info you can give us would help.
Keep your courage up. We're here to help you all we can.

I'm not sure what that sceening or test is called but CG gave you some good advise. Your neuropsychologist needs to review the with you and your parent(s) and some things put in place that may help you and there are a number of things that can help. But I'm just repeating what Charliegirl said.
Welcome to the site, by the way.

I agree with Charliegirl. You need to wait until you get the neuropsych evaluation and have him/her go over the results with you. Suggestions should be part of the report.
