I was a preschool teacher for several years and a daycare/preschool teacher before that, and now do home daycare....so I know a lot of kids that are my son's ages and near my son's ages....I am forever yelling out encouragement like "That's ok, Derek! You'll get it next time!" to kids other than my own, even kids on opposing teams....my husband won't even sit near me when he comes, he watches from his truck...partly because I am so verbal, even though I am never negative, and partly because he shamelessly roots on only his children and doesn't want to be overheard...and bless their hearts, my sons just are not sports types...they do okay, just are never picked for all stars, or that sort of thing...
So I was torn, but picked #1

Hey, who voted in the admin account? It wasn't me! I 'm not voting because my daughter isn't in any competitive sports. I'd HOPE I was #1, but I have a feeling I'd be more like #3.

Oops! I have to get used to having 2 different accounts opened here. It was me Misty. You don't even want to know how many posts I've had to delete and repost as me. I'm a number 2 but people see me as a number one. I do support all the kids and want to see them do well, but what parent isn't going to be emotionally involved in his or her child's abilities and performance?

Ok, I voted #1. I do root on every member of the team. But I have been known to be on Tiff to run faster or be more agressive getting the ball. And in reality, she is just having fun. She is not the scholarship athlete. She will never be the aggressor. SO sometimes I am #4.

I picked # 3 because Joseph cannot stand me cheering for him. He asks that I not do it but sometimes I cant resist just to embarrass him. I give him a big ole' WOOOO HOOOO COME ON JOE! I can picture that dirty look he shoots me from home plate. At football I do tend to get a little rowdy but I do my best to contain it. He is actually an awesome athlete(doesnt get that from me) and I love to watch him play but I try to keep it quiet for the most part.

Well Nikki never competed in Sports but my step-sons did. I was never into sports so the enthusiasm wasn't there but I did cheer for them a little more than other kids so I voted #3 but I'm also a number 1. But honestly, most of the time I didn't even know what was going on - at least in football.
