I just wanted to say what a wonderful evening I had with Tiff. It was such a girl evening. We went over some tests that she took this week. A 92 spelling and a 73 in math yeah. We ordered pizza. Being the grown up she is, Tiff ordered it. We ate our pizza and watched stupid shows on TV and belly laughed and giggled. She sat right next to me. Then we changed into PJ's and cuddled on the couch. It was so wonderful and nice. No wildness, no fighting, nothing but fun.
I just wanted to share my good story about all the love, compassion, friendship, tenderness, giving & nieveness that ADHD has too.
We are so many times ready to pull our hair out, that these are times to remember too.

I just LOVE when I have nice evenings like that with Shannon!
Shannon writes stories & lots of nights we snuggle up on the sofa or bed & she reads me what shes written. Not only is it enjoyable but I love hearing what her mind has created!

That is a time to treasure. I remember the special times like that with my daughter. Even though she is grown now, I still think of times like that and relive all the wonderful things about her at those stages in her life.
Thanks for sharing it. I have special times with my son and don't think to share them. Frankly, I tend to spend more time dwelling on the arguments and hard times we go through instead of appreciating the good times now.

Uni, that was such a wonderful post. I myself had a real happy moment today when my daughter came and told me she really liked some books I bought for her. I think she was telling me in so many words that she sees that her Mom knows her like no one else. That I know what makes her happy, what makes her sad, what makes her nervous and what makes her content. It may not sound like much, but it meant a lot to me that she really liked what I got her. My daughter isn't a huggy squishy kind of person like me but she has her moments and I cherish all of them. You are so lucky to have those moments with your daughter. That is so great!

Uni...Your post actually made me tear up! Those moments are just so special. I know I get so lost in the everyday with all the homework arguements, and the back talk...but at the end of the day when Josh has relaxed and I've relaxed, and all the stuff is done, we get to share those moments together. Your post reminded me that we need to charish every great moment and dwell from that when times are hard. Good for you and Tiff. I'm so glad you shared that post with us!
