I happen to have a relative visiting the US and I would love he could bring me one or two good books related to adhd managing.
I am not really interested in those describing the condition and talking about medications, I am interest in those that can be really helpful for parents to deal with the condition. I have heard about something that is called 123magic; is this a book or a computer program??
I would love if I could get some suggestions!!
PD: I don't live in the US and I can't find a wide variety of good books here. Besides, I have always enjoyed reading in English.

It is a book marcelmom...have your relative look at a good book store, and if you can't find it I see it is on amazon.com too..

1-2-3 magic is a book and I did buy it and was not impressed for it is something we all have been doing for years and it is about discipline. It is basically you get 3 chances and instead of getting into it with your child you tell them 1 then 2 and if you get to 3 they get their time out. Are you looking for a discipline book or a book explaining ADHD? As for just info on ADHD that you can get online and print.

I would like to second that I was not to impressed by it either. Everything they spoke of I was already doing. I don't personally have anything good to say about that book other than the author was really lucky his kids turned out OK by using that very simple technique. Which leads me to believe that his kids might not have been as severe as some of our children. Good Luck in the search. I definately suggest searching on line through Barnes and Noble.com and Amazon.com. They have a very large selection and even though you are not in the states they might still have shipping options. Hi Marcelmom ... one book I can highly recommend ~(and am always recommending!) is "Only a Mother could love him" by Ben Polis. You will find this on Amazon. It is written by Ben who is now a successful author etc. but he has adhd ... it tells through his own words the journey of the childhood and teenagehood he went through and IMHO its BRILLIANT ! ..
You say you are not in the US ? Which country are you in? (I am in the UK) ... I am guessing you are in Spain or a Spanish country from your son's name??
