Hey everyone,
I haven't checked my email yet so I don't know if I got anything about this. I was just curious of the location. Unfortunately I can't do much traveling because my schedule is too busy this time of year but I'll look forward to hearing about it.

Bugsmom, there was a woman on here a month or so ago recruiting moms of ADHDers to help a major pharmaceutical company. Their goal is to get all ADHD info in one "packet", so to say, so that parents of newly diagnosed ADHDers can find all the info they need easier & without having to look in a zillion places. Well, thats the short version. Anyway, those of us who signed up are being flown to NYC for a roundtable discussion.
I'm REALLY looking forward to it! Not only will we be making an impact, but we can really meet each other & have some fun together!

Oh, Bugsmom.....I meant to say....The date isn't set in stone yet, but we could probably ask if they need another person. Right now they are shooting for the end of April, or beginning of May. Even if they don't need anyone else, we'd be thrilled to have you meet us that evening & stay the night &see sights with us!

I don't know if I'll be able to stay a second night but once there's a definite date I'll know more.

Misty...that sounds like such an awesome opportunity! I wish I could join the group, but I am so commited to a lot of things in the next three months that I don't know if I would be able to help. I just love the idea that they are using parents that are dealing with ADD on a daily basis to help out with such a project. You guys will be great representitives for us all. What a great bonus that you all get to meet! Make sure you share all the inside scoop on the project. What a wonderful time you girls will have!

I have been in contact with one of the women that is heading this project up. I too am hoping to be able to go, depending on the weekend. Around that time I have some obligations that are already taking up my time. So depending on the final date, I may be able to swing it. This is such a great project. It would have been a nice thing to have been told about when Tiff was diagnosed. So this will be so valuable for newly diagnosed families.

Greetings, Everyone!
Happy Saturday.
I have some exciting news... As most of you who are planning to go to the roundtable already know, it is a pretty sure bet that the date will be April 28 for the actual meeting (not including any travel days). The good news is that we are hoping to get a few more people. The reason is that some who we obtained from your site and other sites were simply not able to make it on that date for one reason or another. So we are in need of a few more people to make this an effective well-rounded useful meeting. (In other words, we need a larger, well- rouded sample size of opinions etc.) If you know of anyone else who might be interested and available on April 28, please pass on the information or have them contact me ASAP at needmoreinfo@yahoo.com.
As always, we are happy that you are participating and look forward to getting together next month! Please let me know if you have any questions or recommendations of others who might want to join in!
PS. I laughed when I saw on the previous page of messages that Charliegirl had an Aww Man smiley face. My baby girls's occupational therapist says that every time she starts to cry and does not want to do the therapy (which for her is a lot of the time, sad to say). But it is so funny cause she says it with an accent and really drags it out. My baby looks up at her in astonishment and stops crying! Ha! Love it.
Anyway, thanks and be well. Happy Easter and/or Passover.
Regards,
Maria

Regarding Tracy's last email- What category do those of you who plan on going fall into-medicate or don't medicate? As of now I'm in the don't category.
