We still need a solution for remembering afternoon doses on the weekends.
He has a great watch with a snooze alarm It beeps every five minutes until you shut it off. This is great if he is in the middle of something when it is time to take his meds and then he forgets. But he doesn't like the feel of wearing a wrist watch, altho he has worn one since third grade.
Or use a cell phone alarm. He doesn't like to keep a cell phone clipped on his belt like his dad's generation or in his pocket. No baggy jeans for him.
Any suggestions?

How about setting his alarm clock? Even if he's not in his room, most clock alarms are easily heard from all over the house. Even just posting reminders on paper in places your family frequents (like the bathroom mirror, the fridge door, etc. should help get it into his (and everyones) long term memory over time!

Thanks for the suggestions! Yes an alarm clock does work if he is in the house when it goes off. He did that last week end and it worked well because he knew he would be at home at that time.
The "meds", post it on the front door for the last few months must've worked because he seems to remember to bring them to school. He remembers to take his meds in the morning and at school because I gave him money to get that behavior in place. (Then phased the money out once it was in place.)
I am just trying to figure something out that he could easily set and have on him whether he is at home or out and about. Next year at college, his schedule will probably be different from day to day. A mini vibrating snooze alarm for his pocket wouldn't be bad. I haven't seen one of those.
Thanks again!

Well shoot! Hopefully if he just tries it for a few days he will change his tune.
Thinking a little more about it....Of course he will have to remember to put it in his pocket and maybe because it is so tiny it is something that could easily be lost or not noticed to be gone. Hmmm..

My thinking is along the same lines as you. He doesn't want to use it at school because he remembers for the most part because of the same schedule of classes. He always forgets on weekends. I figured that if he just got in the habit of it then he wouldn't forget on weekends. It is next to his meds now, but could be on a keychain... but the keychain is kept by the front door. when he's in a dorm it could all be in the same place. Ahhh...we'll figure it out. Meanwhile we do the happy dance He just got out of bed and is singing The start of another great day on planet earth! I'm going downstairs to make crepes! Yum!
