Anyone else in the mornings before meds kick in I notice my girl is happy go lucky most of the time but she is flighty and airheaded. We walk for it is down the street and she will talk to anyone on the block we see and pick up dandalions etc. I also notice she would babble and say off the wall things at times and it kills me for I know she is smart but overly friendly. It is a morning thing.

My son is like that all the time. Meds or no meds. Very overly friendly to strangers-he'll go up to complete strangers and tell them something like "I beat the 3rd level on my Spongebob Game." He also babbles and talks nonsense a lot. He will say the most bizarre things which make no sense. There's no change even after he's taken his meds.

Both of your kids are so young so some of that is just kids being kids with imaginations and little common sense. They are just too young to worry about what other people think and stranger danger just hasn't been set in their heads yet. And they are still discovering the world. So dandylion picking or picking up strange objects they find along the way I don't think is that odd or unusual.
I know I've gotten a kick out of little kids when they play. They wil make up things that really don't make sense.
It is worrisome that they are so friendly to strangers but they may feel safe to do so because they are with "Mom". I may do a test to see if they talk to strangers if I'm not there. Maybe when they are going over to a friends house watch them.

Sean talks to strangers even without me around. He has taken off in stores and goes up to people he doesn't know and will just start a conversation. He will take attention from anyone, anyway he can get it. It is scary. I would be willing to bet that he would go with anyone. It is the reason I can't take him to some places. We have to really watch him in public places.

Both of my kids were like that. They were friendly to everyone and had no fear. They also were very interested in everything around them including things most of us wouldn't even notice. Unbiased mom that I am, I put it down to their being budding geniuses!

We have to really watch him in public places. My niece was like that when she was little. She could be gone in the blink of an eye. I tell you, I worried so much for her when she was little! They lived in a tiny town just a block from the railroad tracks. And if I, her Auntie, worried I can't imagine what my sister went through. To this day she will just take off and she is 12. But most 90% of that is defiance and the other part is just forgetfulllness - the ADHD part.

It is scary in this day and age the over friendliness that is why my child is never left alone without me. The positive is she is likable the school workers adore her and tell me she is so sweet. The school psychologist calls her smiley, I say it is good parenting.
