Its funny how different our kids behavior can be from day to day. I guess I got so used to Shannon's preteen moodiness & temper that I forgot how good she used to be . But yesterday her behavior was such a pleasant surprise! First she cleaned her room without me nagging her to & then she OFFERED to do the dishes! And she did a great job on them too! And it didn't end there either...........this morning she got up & cleaned out both rat cages & changed the bedding. Usually WE end up doing that when the smell gets unbearable. Then she made her own breakfast & cleaned the dirty dishes up afterwards. I hope this behavior continues at least for a LITTLE while longer!

What does she want? Kidding!! Actually, that is great she did all that. I'll keep my fingers crossed this lasts...at least for a little while.

I might've spoke too soon. She just called from school saying shes sick & wants us to come get her. Of course DH is out & forgot his cell phone so shes stuck there until he comes home. She was fine this morning so.....who knows.

How old is she now? chelsea started to be that way when she was about 11 or 12....jonna never did up till and including when she moved out. Oh, she would do things for me when I asked or told her to, but never independently or voluntarily. We totally missed the moodines phase with chelsea too. She was a tad bit mouthy at times, but never the door slamming drama queen that some girls morph into during puberty.
Chelsea would just get in the mood to clean the kitchen and cook dinner, and I would come home and it would all be done! And she often would be cleaning her room and rearranging it on the weekends....sometimes we would hear her moving her furniture quite late into the night!
Enjoy it while it lasts! Who knows, maybe she will be this way for good!

Puzzled, She'll be 13 in a few weeks. She's never been a "BAD" girl, just nerve wrackingly mean & moody like pre-teens can get. I hope this phase lasts longer than the moodiness did! LOL. I imagine they'll be interchangeable until she gets through puberty.
