I wanted to drop to the ground and kiss the feet of the psychiatrist today.
First of all she prescribed something for the not sleeping problem.(Sean woke up at 2 AM and never went back to sleep last night) this has been happening alot again and also the nightmares are back. She gave him Atarax which is an antihistamine used to treat anxiety. Has anyone ever used this?
She said what the neuro. did to us was called a "dump" and basically he didnt want to deal with it. She wants all his records from the pediatrician,cardio. and the neurologist. She also wants him to have a complete physical and an EKG. She is concerned about the PDA and wants him thorougly checked out so she can see what meds. he can take. For now we will start with the Atarax at night and eventually something else for daytime. She said there are quite possibly several things going on with him.
She took what I said seriously,blew nothing off and saw that there are some problems. Finally.
