New - former Schwab

Hello,

I found this link from someone on Schwaublearning. I'm going to miss that site. I am also from net-haven and millermoms. I didn't care for GS. So I I'm trying here.

I have 2 children. My daughter is 17 and driving and junior in H.S.
My son is 12, 7th grade and is dyslexic, dysgraphic and some ADDHD. He is attending a private LD school for the past 2 years. This school has done wonders for his self esteem, and reading skills. He can now read at the 4th grade level, slow but he can do it.

My husband is wonderful person!

I write accounting software for computers and do customer support for my company.

I think you will find we have the family atmosphere you are looking for. Everyone does their best to help each other and we also have an off topic section where we can laugh and cry together, and we all do both. Our members are wonderful! I think you will fit right in.

I have an ADHD inattentive 12 yr old. I think he may have dyscalculia also and plan to have him tested specifically for that soon.

Welcome to the gang. I know you are going to miss Schwab very much - some sites become so much a part of your life it is difficult to accept the change. I feel for you but I hope you can find this site is the perfect fit. I know I love it here.
