;D A friend on another site I frequent posted this and I thought it was funny!
It was on one of those pin things you put on your clothes and it said....... I am not ADHD, I am ADOS........ Attention Deficit.......ooooooh SHINY!

 I know that has been a running joke (but true) about ADHD for a long time. But seriously, do you think ADHD folks are really distracted by shiny things or just distracted in general. I know I love shiny things. If I had my way I'd have everything shine. Even dirt. But seriously..... again, I am really drawn to things that shine but do you think it is more seeing a flicker of the shine that ADHD'er catch out of the corner of their eye that distracts them or is it that they just love shiny things like me. Oh nevermind, I'm confusing myself.

I know I love shiny things. If I had my way I'd have everything shine. Even dirt. Even dirt ? Really JJ even for you that's going to far . . .  For me just everything in general is distracting, unless it's a ''hyper-focus-minute''. |

Welllllll, I am like bugsmom with a story about Ran. Her friends from soccer still tell this story and it is so ADD. The coach was having a frustrating day dealing with 15 teenage girls who were all hyped up and he was lecturing them and lining them up by 2's to run the heck out of them on suicides. Everyone is quite and Ran sees something and while he is talking says real loud ........ oooh look, it is shiny. She had spotted something on the ground! All the girls busted out laughing and then they had to run more!
Yeah, I am just distracted in general!
Hey maybe Crows and Ravens are ADD, don't they like to collect shiny objects?

For me just everything in general is distracting, unless it's a ''hyper-focus-minute''. No sir, it isn't going too far. In fact, some dirt (well sand and gravel) is shiny. So why not the rest of it? They do like to collect shiny things so you could be right! |
