Valerie, I think that is a good idea and I hope it works. Let us know how it turns out. Even if it only works for a couple months that is a little reprieve you got.
I'll definitely let y'all know how it goes. Any amount of stress free days are better than none. LOL

The only thing I can add is I hear you every morning is always me getting stressed out although it is part of my routine now but sometimes when she is crabby I go to work already stressed. I am wondering the same thing myself I tried to offer an allowance to see if money is a motivator but she did not care.

hmm...there is a light at the end of the tunnel; it's just that the tunnel is sooo long!
for those of you that don't know me, my son is in college, but for years I kept coming up with different systems to get him do what he was supposed to do...each would work for awhile and then fall by the wayside. I really like bugsmom's system and the white board is great.
Imagine my surprise recently when I offered to pick up my son at college before spring break and he said that he wanted to come home the following day so that he would have time to clean his room and do laundry before he left!
When I wondered where he got that from, hubby said to look in the mirror. I guess I do the same thing before a trip. Even if the system falls to the wayside, learning by example is still there.
Hang in there!

They seem to be able to get things done when they really want something too. I can nag til my face turns blue for Shannon to clean her room & she'll drag her feet & never get it done, but tell her that Autumn can sleep over if her room gets clean & it's picture perfect in 20 minutes! She has started brushing her teeth at least 3 times a day after her braces came off because the orthodontist told her, the better she cares for her teeth & retainer, the faster she'll be done with the retainer. Before that it was a chore to get her to brush them even once a day!
