Oh Lordy...what rock are people like this hiding under? Well...I'm glad you got Michael out of her class & at least the principal heard her say that. I think ALL teachers should be required to have some informational classes on disorders before they can teach.

I'm glad you got Michael out of her class.
I'm amazed that she actually admitted she didn't believe in ADHD and didn't want any in her class. I have a feeling her contract won't be renewed.
I feel bad for the students who are stuck in her class this year, with our without ADHD.

I am shocked that she admitted that too! Especially being a NEW teacher. There is tons of information on learning differences infused into a education degree now. My guess is she just said that to get all the kids with learning problems out of her class. I mean, who in their right mind would say such a thing. Sounds like she went into the wrong field! I'm so glad you got him out of there.

She doesn't believe in ADHD yet she doesn't want a kid that has ADHD in her class. Huh? Kind of contridicting herself, isn't she? At least she didn't lie and say she never said such a thing. At least she was honest.
Anyway, I'm glad the principle was on your side and he got Michael in a different class.
