Hello,
I am meeting with my daughter's counselor this afternoon to discuss our course of action as to starting OT for her at the school. Is there anything other than her OT evaluation done by the Occupational Therapist I should take with me to the meeting to validate that her visual processing, visual motor skills are in fact delayed?
Thanks,
kdmvjm

Hi Kdmvjm,
My daughter is on a 504 plan and I was lucky enough to have her actual psychiatrist that diagnosed her come with me and sit down with the school with all of the written paperwork. As long as you have all of your documentation, you should be able to sit down and work out the plan that is correct for your daughter. Some of the ladies here know more then me about all the legalities, but for me, as long as I had all of my documentation, the school completely cooperated with me. You will probably also have some other replies to that will be of help. The best of luck with your meeting.

I was lucky too, as the school was quite cooperative. I had my daughters diagnosis & samples of her affected schoolwork with me at our first meeting. I hope the meeting goes great.
