Thanks Charliegirl. I checked the website out and found that i am visual-spatial.
Do you remember what you see but not what you hear- Yes i am very good at remembering whats going on around me but ask me to tell you what people are saying i will probably not know. Are you a terrible speller- To some extent i am i use to be worse that i am now. I use to reverse my letters in TABLE, WARDROBE. I could never spell CHOCOLATE and when i was special ed my teacher spent days and days with me teaching me how to spell it. Are you organizationally impaired- Yes MAJORLY my bedroom is a tip despite it being cleaned up 2 weeks ago. Within days it was back to mess again. I am always etting in trouble for it(my mum says its like i am a squatter and living as its mess all over the place. Do you lose track of time- Yes all the time i forget what the time is and i start doing something and then its god where did the time go. Is your handwriting difficult for others to read- Yes quite messy. I use to have co-ordination problems when writing. Now its just messy. I can not do joined up writing as i can not read joined up writing. Remembering that i am 22 years old. Are you musically, artistically or mechanically inclined- Yes that's me, anything to do with music and I'll be there i love music. Do you know more than what others think you know- I don't know probably. I think people friends included underestimate me because i am not as clever as they are. I know alot of things just that mines is all useless information. Do you hate speaking in front of a group- YES YES YES this a DEFINITE YES. I get butterflies in my stomach/get sweaty palms/feel sick/get very nervous/get a majorly RED face. The list goes on. Even when i am with friends i get majorly majorly nervous its quite annoying actually. Are you addicted to your computer- Eh Yes i am on it everyday 3-4 times a day. I haven't got that many close friends so i like to come on and look up stuff.

Becca and I both have a Non-Verbal LD. With us, it's a difficulty understanding directions unless we receive verbal as well as visual instructions. I remember my trying to learn to dive and no matter how much I watched others I could not do it. Finally, my Father figured out that I wasn't springing and the instant he verbally told me I was able to dive. At that point in the back of my mind I knew I had something goofy going on with my brain. I've always done well in Language arts, Reading and Spelling and especially good at writing, but had problems mathematically. My daughter pretty much follows suit there, except that her math abilities are much better then mine. We are also very musically inclined. There is also a processing LD involved which is how quickly the brain decodes information it receives. The interesting thing is that it does not affect the actual intelligence level. It's basically lags in the ways information is received. ADD/ADHD and these types of LDs are all involved in the same area of the brain. The audiologist I took my daughter to after she was diagnosed with ADD explained it in detail to me.
Many of the things laura described are things I have difficulty with. I have terrible organizational skills, some social anxiety(Becca has these too), awful writing, but yet I can draw and paint, figure that one out,LOL. I can also become easily addicted to the computer so I have to push myself away so I can get things done around the house. I must say, it is such a relief when you finally learn all or most of your weaknesses and strengths and you know what to expect from yourself and how to work with it. As far as I'm concerned I can never learn enough.

my eldest has some nvld problems, although he dosent have a dx, i wish he did as then we could get him more help in school, when he was last tested on his edu psyc report he scored low
Age at Assessment: 12y 7m
Word Definitions 11y 9m Verbal Similarities 14y 3m (he got too much to say lol) Matrices 6y 7m Quantitative Reasoning 10y 3m Recall of Designs 9y 3m Pattern Construction 7y 7m Number Skills 9y 3m Spelling 10y 9m Word Reading 11y 3m
his Matrices score is so low, his working out skills are poor and this is why he as so many problems following instructions and being really forgetful doesnt help
