Site Rules
We had to sign an agreement to not allow posting in a foreign language. This includes single words such as hello and good-bye. They will shut the site down if we do not comply.
The law on copyright infringement is that you cannot copy and post an entire article without written permission from the person who holds the copyright. You can post a small portion of the article and the link to it. We are taking this very seriously, so any article we find in its entirety without a statement from the author that we may post it will be deleted. If you have a link, post that. If you have no link, we can't use it.
Please be courteous and respectful of other posters even if you do not agree with them. They are entitled to their opinion just as you are entitled to yours.
We ask that you not use the name of God, Jesus, Christ unless you are talking to Him or about Him. Anything else will be considered a cuss word and will be edited out of your post. We also ask that you not use bloody unless you are talking about something that has blood on it. Those are offensive to Christians and not allowed. We also ask that you be respectful of anyone's religious views. They are entitled to believe the way they choose. Our site is here to help people deal with disability related issues. That ability to offer help and support can be negatively affected if people are offended.
If you see a posting that you feel is unacceptable, contact one of the moderators or administrators and tell us which thread and which post and why you feel it should be removed.
Anyone posting rude, inflammable posts or caught posting in a foreign language and who continues to do so after being reminded of the rules will have their registration revoked.
Enjoy! This site is about serious issues, but we need to encourage and uplift each other, making it easier for all of us to get through one more day of working towards our common goal of helping our loved ones be all they can become. Life is easier if you can face it with a laugh and a smile.

If you click on the main title for each board, you can have access to all the posts that have been made in that area. Many times there are more than one new post per board each day and this will allow you to view and respond to each one.
AVATARS:
You may use any of the avatars that we have put in as avatar choices. If you'd like to use your own custom avatar, thats fine too. We only ask that you keep it at 16,000 bytes or under. To find out the amount of bytes a graphic is, just right click on it & choose "properties". If it is too big & you do not know how to resize it, feel free to PM the graphic to any of the administrators. We're more than happy to do it for you!
SIGNATURES:
We'd like no more than 75,000 bytes per signature. That means that if you have more than one graphic in your sig line, together they must total 75,000 bytes or less. Again, we are happy to help you resize if you need us too.
NEWSLETTERS:
We do send out periodic newsletters via email,which announce our live chat dates & other important news & updates. Members need to be activated to receive these.
In your profile there is a thing near the bottom that says account status: Not activated and then next to it it says activate now. If you click on that, you will receive an activation key & be able to activate.
If you are having trouble activating & need help, please PM one of the administrators. We will be glad to help you!
