I did the plan 3 years ago and lost 60 lbs and within the last year gained it all back and some. My doctor yelled at me for i have diabetes and Asthma but in a nice way and I finally snapped out of my slump and am off my butt so to speak. I joined weight watchers online since I have no time for meetings due to child will not sit still and hubby not around much to help me. I am proud to say in a one and a half weeks time I am officially down 11 lbs. I need all the support I can get for I do not get any at home and looking for others. I also frequent weight watchers own forum but the others there do not seen as warm and friendly.

I have not started WW but I have been considering it-one of my friends is doing it now and she has lost about 15 lbs. Congratulations on losing the weight! We will all be here to support and encourage you!

I have never done weight watchers. I have always tried myself. I never had a weight problme until about 3 years ago and gained 40 lbs ove that time frame. So I was in the watch your weight increase group. But seriously, I am trying really hard to loose some of the weight I have gained. I wish you luck, let us know how you are doing.

I didn't know there was such a thing as online weight watchers. Maybe I will check it out.

Jill...Cograts on the great start!! I've done WW a couple of times and find that its just so hard to keep up with. All the measuring and counting points drove me nuts...but, it did work and I lost weight. I did the South Beach diet 3 years ago and lost 30 pounds. That has been the best results I ever had. Of course as soon as I went off, it started creeping up again. ARRGGGG...its such a struggle! I'm ready to start something again, I'm really getting miserable with the extra weight I'm carrying. Do you still have to measure and weigh everything with WW? The online thing sounds pretty easy, cuz I can't find time for the meetings either. I think I'll check it out. Good Luck...we're all here for you...keep up the good work! ;D

I've seen ads for the online weight watchers, but I've never tried it. How much does it cost?

I actually just went back to my local one. I am a gold card member and I just need to lose 2 more lbs and I am back to free but I do need to take off about 15 lbs. I set my goal weight a little higher then I actually like to be because I know I usually gain weight in the winter and it's easier for me to reach it and not have to pay all the time. I have to check out the online WW too. I can use all the help I can get because I just gained a little, boo hoo. I'm going to check out the cost for the online.

I've been going to WW for 7 weeks. (I never did anything about the weight I gained when I had my son and he's 6 years old now!)
Even though it's not easy to get to the meetings, I figure out a way to get there, because weighing in at the location and getting support from others keeps me enthusiastic.
I like the materials they provide, such as the restaurant foods point list. I carry my journal and stay organized so I'm on top of how much I'm eating. I like using the online tools, too.
I guess I'm just really excited about WW. I've lost 13 pounds and reduced my cholesterol from 231 to 192. I still eat pizza and birthday cake!
I've never stayed on a diet so long and I attribute it to the fact that I'm not doing it by myself.
