I love to make home made crafts & goodies to give out as Christmas gifts. I used to cross stitch pillows & bookmarks, but have gotten bored with that lately. I make goodie bags of home made dog cookies to give dog owners on my list. Sometimes I make fudge or recipes in a jar. My mailman loves a tin of home made Xmas cookies. This year I made a calendar for my mom. Heres a picture of the December page: I printed them on cardstock for durability & then put the pages in order in a clear plastic sleeve. I punch 2 holes near the top & thread a festive ribbon through to hang it with. She can just take the page out at the end of the month & the next month will be showing & she can cut the photo from the finished month if she wants to keep it.

I make fudge and have given out home canned peaches, etc. One year when Jonathan was smaller I found these cute little wooden boxes at a craft store. They were on sale so I got some craft paint for him and let him decorate several of them. I think his teacher and all the family got them as gifts that year.

Oh that reminds me of something Shannon & I did one year! We saved burnt out lightbulbs. we painted them white & sprinkled glitter on the wet paint. When they were dry we made a small felt hat & scarf & painted tiny faces on the skinny neckpart & buttons on the fat part, then we adhered a tiny wire loop to the top & they made the sweetest decorations! I'll have to post a picture when I get my Christmas things out.

I know i'm a little late here. But if you don't mind me asking Misty. What program did you use for the calendar? My mil has been wanting a calendar like that and i was gonna go to walmart and have them do one. But if i can do it myself, even better.

I have Hallmark Card Creator on disk. Its an older version, but I love it because you can replace any graphic with your own photo.
