Misty - I have been a yeller too at times. It doesn't accomplish anything, you feel horrible physically afterwards and you feel horrible about yelling at the person aftwerwards too. I really try to walk away now when I can.

I have been known to be a yeller but am really trying to walk away instead of yell. Things are much more peaceful and my daughter and I are getting along much better without the yelling. A few weeks ago my sister went off on a tangeon and insulted me. I could have really screamed at her but I simply told her I did not wish to speak with her. I think that was way more effective then yelling and I am proud of myself at how I handled the situation. She could not stand the silence and I got a pretty quick apology.

???WoW Losty that's Great. Some times it's hard to tell the other person, ''I can't talk to you now, I'm too upset & I can't think clearly''. They may think your 'dissin' them or don't want t o talk about whatever the 'issue' is. They may actually Want you to start yelling & Screaming [for whatever reason] or may be thrown of balance that your not reacting in the usuall way.

They may actually Want you to start yelling & Screaming [for whatever reason] You're right. I hadn't thought of it before, but they may want you to start yelling so that you look bad instead of them! hmmmm.........
