How do you face life difficulties?
A girl complained to her father about life and told him that everything always went wrong for her. She didn't know how to keep going forward because she felt failed and defeated.
She was tired of fighting for she never got results. It all seemed that when a problem was solved, there was a new one.
Her father was a chef, so he took her to his workplace at his kitchen and got three pots with water in them., then he put the on the stove to boil.
As soon as the water was boiling in them he added carrots to the first one, some eggs to the second one, and coffee beans to the third one. He let them boil and didn't say a word. He only looked at his daughter while he waited.
The girl grew impatient asking herself what was her father doing.
After 20 min, the father tuned off the stove. He took the eggs and placed them in a container. He did the same with the carrots. Finally he poured coffee into a cup.
Looking to his daughter he said: "Dear, what do you see?"
"eggs, carrots, and coffee" she replied.
He told her to near the table and asked her to touch the carrots; she did so and noticed they were very soft and easy to undo.
Then he asked her to take an egg and break the shell. She observed that the egg was hard.
Finally he offered his daughter a nice cup of coffee. She smiled as she enjoyed it.
She was surprised and asked her father the meaning of all that.
He explained that all three elements had faced the same difficulty: "boiling water", and they had all reacted differently
The carrots were strong at first, but then became soft and easy to undo.
The eggs were very fragile before, their thin shell protected their liquid, but after the boiling water, they were hard.
The coffee beans, on the other hand, were the only ones that changed water after this process.
The father asked his daughter: "Which element are you when difficult times knock your door?"
Are you a carrot? It seems strong, but when faced by fatality and pain becomes weak and loses strengh.
Are you an egg? It starts moldable; it has a spirit that flows, but after death or harshness becomes hard and inflexible. It looks the same from the outside, but really has a rigid heart.
Are you a coffee bean? Coffee beans change water. They change the element that causes pain. When water boils coffee reaches its best taste and smell.
I wish you to be a coffee bean, when things become hard around you, you can react positively, not letting yourself be defeated by circumstances; that way you can improve everything that surrounds you.
I wish you can always imitate the sweet smell of coffee by being optimistic and happy.
Never lose that sweet smell of coffee that only you know how to transmit to others.
