I haven't heard of that. Do you know what is in it that is supposed to make it work? I'm going to have to look it up and try to find out more myself now.

I just looked it up myself. From what I can find there have been 2 small studies of ADHD kids where they either measured urine samples or blood samples of 'stress' hormones and this extract reduced levels and also reduced symptoms. I'm just trying to find what dosage is appropriate now. I found in the first study in Germany, they gave 1mg/kilo of weight. Now I need to convert pounds to kilos! Time for google again. Thanks! I'll let you know how it works. I looked also for drug interactions between this and Tenex. Pamela

Thanks. I'm eager to hear your take on it when you find out more and how it works if you decide to try it.

Like Charliegirl, I haven't heard much about it. I remember only reading something about the eyes. So of course I had to go Googling and thought I'd post a nice link that others could read. It seems to tell what Pine Bark Extract is helpful for and does mention it is helpful for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It also lists drugs it may interact with etc... Click HereVery interesting stuff.

Just wanted to update here in case anyone looks up Pine Bark and wants to know if it helped us. It seemed to help for a while and then it just didn't anymore. I truely feel it was a placebo effect and it caused him to REALLY TRY TRY TRY and then that just got exhausting for him and he went back to his normal focus. We are still having trouble. We've also tried Omega-3's and that didn't help either. However, on another note...and I'm not sure if this is placebo as well...but who cares....I had bought a huge box of the omega-3's and when I felt it wasn't really helping Isiah, I stopped giving them to him. Then I saw a Rachel Ray show that talked about Omegas boosting sex drive in women and decided to 'fish' them out and started taking it 2-3 times daily for about 2 weeks and I'll tell you they really worked. I stopped taking them and my sex drive tanked and started again and wamo...happy husband! Just fyi!

Fish oil helps lower cholesterol too & helps ease the pain of arthritis. My mom swears by it for her arthritis!
