Hello Everyone, I'm Sonny and I found this forum while surfing Proboards Support. I have been going on Proboard for several years now and I think this is the first Active Proboard, that I have found about Mental Health. Well I'll start from the beginning, I'm 15 years old. 6 months ago my therapist told me that she thought I had Asperger's Syndrome. Well I had already knew that, after I self-diagnosed myself. In 6-8th Grade I was bullied and since then I have been suffering from depression. So anyways we scheduled an appointment with a diagnostician. Since then I have analyzed my behavior along with the help of my friends. So anyways I will be getting the results back this Tuesday, but I believe I have Aspergers Syndrome, Depression, OCD, and Paranoia. So anyways, you have a very nice community here

Sonny, There are a few other active mental health groups on proboards, but I'm glad you found ours! It sounds like you have a great group of friends...who try to understand you & stick by you no matter what. You are lucky--so many don't have that. Sounds like your parents are trying their best to help you too. Once you get your diagnosis from the tests & learn how to better help yourself, I'm sure you'll find some relief. We're happy to have you aboard!

Welcome!
I'm glad you are getting diagnosed Sonny. Its hard knowing something is wrong and not knowing definitely what it is.
If you do have Aspergers I can assure you that you have a future. My nephew is 24 and going to ITT for something to do with computers. Its really hard and complicated but he is thriving. He has his own apartment, a car and job. If he can do well, so can you!
BTW, he wasn't diagnosed until he was 23 or shortly before. His progress has been remarkable. Once you know for sure you can then find out what you need to do to better your chances and your life.
