So I took my son to a doctor's apt yesterday, and I asked to speak with the counselor there. My son always has a hard time at the doctors anyway, but in this case he had been a little cranky and hyper. (bad combo). So I finally bribed him with ice cream if he would just co-operate, and he did, but more on point... So I'm in the counselor's office while she's making an appointment to meet with me, and I'm looking around (as is my son) when he turns around, jumps up and slaps me in the forehead. I look at him like, WTH? The counselor giggles and says "Impulse much?" He looks up and laughs and says, Sorry mom. Later I asked what that was all about and he said, You shoulda had a V8! I swear, he gets me laughing sometimes. Just thought I would share a lighter side of impulses. Wouldn't have been so funny if he had done it to the baby or something. <shrugs> Anon

LOL! But now you have to teach him not to go around slapping people.

He knows. It's one of those typical conversations:
Mom: "Are you supposed to hit people?" Kid: "No?" Mom: "And why aren't you supposed to?" Kid: "Because I could hurt them?" Mom: "You don't sound too sure about that." Kid: "Beacuse I could hurt them." Mom: "So why did you hit mom?" Kid: "I dunno?" Mom: <Side-wards look> Kid: "I don't know." Mom: "Well, why don't you think about it." Kid: "I won't do it again?, I mean, I won't do it again."
And yes, he's answering a question with a question. Drives me crazy.

Awww, kids can just crack you up sometimes. They have been advertising that V-8 like crazy so I can see why that was in his mind. Too funny.
