That's exactly what the pharmacist said. He said that since he's been on it for such a short time that it would not be a problem to just stop giving it to him.

I know it must have been upsetting for all of you to see Sean feeling unsettled. Have a peaceful night.

This Abilify has a maddening side effect. Sean will not leave us alone. He always wants to show us something or tell us something or ask us something. It is EXTREME! I am talking 50 times in an hour. The teacher has mentioned it several times in the last couple weeks-that he is constantly getting out of his seat and approaching her to tell her "the sky is blue." I thought it was me imagining that it was getting worse and worse but apparently not. I told the psych about it and he told me to re-direct him but that it wouldnt be easy. No matter what we say to him he just wont stop.

My son has been that way his entire life. I'm sure you have noticed when we IM that he is constantly interrupting and wanting to add his 2 cents. If I go somewhere he calls my cell to talk to me. It has slowed down some in the last year but its still many times an hour.
His isn't from medication but I wanted you to know I can identify with what you are going through. It drives me nuts and with everything else you are dealing with in addition to that, I don't know how you keep your sanity.
Hopefully someone will post with some suggestions.

I am now used to the normal amount of attention he wants but this goes way beyond even his normal. He will draw a line on a piece of paper and show it to me. A minute later he will draw a 2nd line and show me that. Then he'll say that he drew a circle.(he is quite good at drawing and I dont mind looking at real pictures he draws) Then it goes like this- (and after each question he goes in his room and comes right back down) what day is it? what was yesterday? what day is tomorrow? whats the date? Is it hot or cold out? What color do you like better black or white? Nevermind. Do you like dogs? I have a penny. What....nevermind. How do you spell your name? Is there school tomorrow? Is it winter or summer? I am not exaggerating and this continues all day and night, even after we have repeatedly asked him to stop. I am willing to answer a question but these questions are nonsense. I just dont know why the Abilify would have this kind of effect but it started exactly when he started taking it. Its a strange side effect.
