Hey Tig, I have a couple questions for you since your son is taking Trileptal too. First, have you noticed any changes/improvements/side effects from this medication? The only thing I have seen change since Sean started taking it is that he sleeps a lot less. Other than that it seems to be doing nothing.
Also what is the dosage that Michael takes? I had to notify the school nurse that Sean was on a new med and when I told her the dosage she said I must be mistaken because it was a very high amount. I went home and double checked but the number I gave her was correct. He takes 150 mg in the am and 150 mg at bedtime. Thanks.

KK, That is the lowest dose they make according to Walgreens.

Oh okay then I guess the school nurse may be on some medication herself since she told me that she has only seen kids take 3 mg of this medication.  |

But the only thing that i am seeing now is him being angry more. He is more sensitive, and can get mad on a drop of a dime. He is also not sharing very well lately I dont know if any of this is from the meds. But I do know he is not threatening to kill himself anymore he just seems more sadder than normal. So I dont think it is working as much as it should. For how much he is taking, he is on 150mg too. So Sean is on the right dose. but I sure hope he dont go the way Michael is going. I am affraid Michael will be going to a hospital very soon. Because nothing is working for him. Hopefully you will be seeing positive soon. |
