 Hey there, I'm Laine! I'm SOOO glad I found this site!!!!! I'm a 36 year old SAHM of 2, Haleigh (6) & Connor (almost 16mo). Haleigh was just dx'd w/ADHD this past Wednesday and I've been living with it all my life, so we're not really surprised she ended up with it. She started taking Vyvanse just today actually so I'll be interested to see if anyone else has had any experience with it. It's going to be SO helpful to have others around to chat with that are "in the same boat", so to speak.

 I know we've sort of "met " through the site's email, but I just wanted to welcome you officially! I know what you are going through. When my daughter (now 13) was first diagnosed, the forums saved my sanity! No one in my family knew anything about ADHD, & although my mom was willing to learn & support her grand daughter, it was most helpful finding people who understood & were living it too. You might want to post your meds questions in the med board to get the attention of people who might have some advice for you in that area. My daughter has never tried Vyvanse. Anyway, make yourself at home; we are glad to have you here! |

Welcome! I'm glad you found us also. I'm sure you will find this to be a very helpful, supportive site. Our members are the best you will find anywhere. They really care and will be there for you in the fun stuff and when times get rough.

Hi - it is good to meet you and I am glad you are here with us. I hope the meds work for your daughter! I am adult ADHD and very hyper, which is a blessing at times, but bad too! I just got the official Dx for my oldest daughter of ADD major innattentive (no great surprise there I guess?), I just got off the phone with the physc that tested her today, she said a lot and now I will wait for the written report.  Hi, Laine! I'm so glad you found us as you begin this journey with your daughter. Everyone here understands and will be a wonderful support for you. I have a almost 12 year old son with ADHHHHD and anxiety. It's been quite a ride, but with the comfort of this group, an easier ride. Once again, welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you. |
