Just wanted to share. By getting her inserts for her shoes and longer velcro tabs and a good behavior plan it is Working and the problem gone. I am giving her a sticker every morning for good behavior and after school for having a good day and one sticker for our calendar and if she gets 4 out of 7 I take her to dollar tree (everything for a dollar store) she can get one thing she wants. It is working!

Hi jill !
I am just catching up on posts and am so happy the shoe problem may be solved. Yay!!! Hugs to you and Annette for sticking with it and continuing to search for something that works.
My son didn't care for socks or shoes either, but it was not a huge issue. Shoes and socks just never stayed on his feet very long. I do remember finding him shoeless when I'd stop by his classroom sometimes in third grade. He'd have one toe in his shoe wiggling around while he worked on the computer. Even in high school, I knew where to collect all the dirty socks...under the computer. I once found 14 there!
Tags and necklines were bothersome but as he got older the irritation seemed to disappear.
Jeans...he didn't wear jeans until the end of 5th grade when he started to think about how he looked. Sweatpants for him...usually twisted cockeyed at the waist. Now he only buys jeans with extra soft fabric...he's 19. He still usually doesn't have a shirt on when he is at home and often just boxers. He says it makes him too hot. A soft fuzzy blanket wrapped around his waist or draped over the shoulders is standard attire. A toga would probably suit him best.
Regards to you and yours

We head to dollar tree tomorrow. As for bare feet not my girl rug is too fuzzy she would yell. I have her slippers in the bathroom for after showers and baths.

I'm so happy you fond a solution Jill! I'm sure its a huge relief to both of you!
Jfla, my daughter was the same way with jeans until about that same age as well. She really started wearing them in about the middle of 5th grade & now she wears nothing but jeans! At home she wears boxers & tank tops even in the winter & is usually barefoot. Shesays her feet get hot in socks.
