I stole this from Proboards Support - hope this hasn't been posted before?? www.theadvocates.org/quiz.htmlMy results: CONSERVATIVES tend to favor economic freedom, but frequently
support laws to restrict personal behavior that violates "traditional values." They oppose excessive government control of business,
while endorsing government action to defend morality and the
traditional family structure. Conservatives usually support a strong
military, oppose bureaucracy and high taxes, favor a free-market
economy, and endorse strong law enforcement.

That was interesting... I dont vote anymore. Just because I had to do jury duty and I didnt like it. But I am glad I found out where I stand!!!
CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government
control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on
the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention
and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.
Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,
tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what
they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

I must say Tigger, your reason for not voting has to be the most original reason I ever heard. Most people say, "the candidate choices stink" or "it won't change anything", etc...

well that is interesting for me.
LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and
economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.
Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose
government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate
diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

I stopped voting for the SAME reason as Tigger! I absolutely HATE jury duty & I've been called WAY too many times. Its a waste of a day & although I like to vote, I won't chance being called for Jury duty yet AGAIN!
Anyway, my score was:
LIBERAL
LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal
matters, but tend to support significant government control of the
economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation
of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,
defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action
to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.
YEP...sounds just like me!

Here in Michigan they used to go by voter registration, but they changed it a few years ago and now go by your driver license number. Funny thing with me is that I've voted in almost every election since I was 18 and was never called. When they switched it, I was called right away. Go figure.
I'm in the minority here...I lovvvve jury duty. I got picked for a jury the last time I went and I loved the whole process! It was exciting and I made a few bucks!

I used to not want to but then realized how important it is for everyone accused of a crime to have a trial with a fair and impartial jury. Its one of our constitutional rights and someone has to step forward for it to happen.
I was called for grand jury once but was excused. I was so disappointed.
