Hi,
I have searched for a previous topic relating to diet and was not successful.
I was wondering if anyone had any feedback in regard to any particular diet which has resulted in reduction of any of the usual ADHD/ADD symptoms? And if any reduction was it substantial?
Symtoms such as better focus, less hyperactivity, less implusivity, less daydreaminess etc?
Tar,

I am not sure if it helps or not, but I try to eat things with lots of omega 3 in it and take fish oil supplements. I unsuccessfully try not to eat overly processed junk food, sometimes I cannot help it though and not a lot of sugar. If you hear of a diet that would work, let us know, I am for trying anything that helps me as an adult ADHD'er.

I use diet to some extent to help ease my daughter's symptoms. Like Lcdc, I give her Omega 3 capsules. I also cook as much from scratch as possible. I avoid prepackaged meals & snacks. I find that the less artificial colorings, flavorings & the less preservatives I use, the better she seems to be. I can tell immediately if shes been eating pre packaged junk or fast foods as she gets goofier & less able to concentrate. I make my own versions of Egg McMuffins & freeze them to be heated in the microwave for breakfasts. Instead of buying premade burritos, pancakes, french toast, etc...I make & freeze them myself in individual servings. Same with cookies, brownies, rice krispie squares...although I dont freeze those I do make them from scratch & seal them in individual sized servings in ziploc bags.

On a Lighter Note (B Flat to be exact): I have been trying with some success the ''Ice Cream Diet'' (early reports show the highest results from using Bryers Ice Cream, if not available in your area--tough). Bryers Coffee I.C. {Ice Cream} if best used early evening {it's decaffeinated}, as is their Black Cherry, Oreo and even Vanilla. I am part of a clinical study funded by the Dairy Markets of America, The Ice Cream is Not Just for Breakfast Anymore Foundation and Ice Cream the Other Food Group Society of North America. ~~No Cows have been hurt in this study~~ www.icecreamsocietyofamerica.com

Can't say i have ever heard of the ice cream add diet...
However I quit having panic attacks and my meds work A LOT better since i cut milk from my diet. Most people can't digesting milk after the age of 20 anyway.
So no-milk makes for a happier me! I just get sorbet instead of ice cream.
in other words- watch what you eat, if you are worse one day out of the blue, it is probably what you ate.
