This is my sister's art but I thought it would be fun to post a different medium. If you don't know how scratch board art works -the top layer is usually black. You scratch a little and another layer of color appears. The last layer is white. They are getting more fancy with scratch boards including many colors including metalics. So anyway, these were done by my sis just scratching off layers. Cool huh? (Sorry, pictures aren't real clear as they were matted with fat matt boards so I couldn't get the picture flat on the scanner.)

I did a cat in scratchboard art when I was in highschool. My grandmother kept it forever. Its not as easy as it sounds and your sister is very talented. Those look like photos to me and I didn't think it was possible to do one so real looking.

Your right Barb, it isn't easy at all. I put right there with water color. But still with water color if you make an error you can always reinvent your picture using your boo boo and sometimes it looks even better. With scratch art if you make a big mistake - that it. Your done. You have to know lighting/reflections to a tea.
