Just wondering what everyone's plans are. We will just be here, but we will go to local parks, fairs, museums, etc. We will also have a few big family picnics & have out of town guests a few times. I'll probably take a week off work & do some fun activities (if gas prices don't rise too much more).

For the most part we'll be hanging out at home. Sean will be doing the summer rec thing and Joe is taking a Strength, Speed, and Conditioning thing at his school and also baseball will go into August. Once those are over Joe will go to his dad's in FL for 2 weeks and Sean will go to his mothers. Andy and I are going to Myrtle Beach where I will hopefully get to ride a horse on the beach and he can get in lots of fishing.

Camp Squirrelgirl has officially started. We do arts & crafts, library time, YMCA pool, cooking, beach, and educational worksheets. If there's a storytime, nature lesson, or kid fitness class on the calendar, then we are there. Next week, ds has Jr. Chef and Ecology mini-camps. A few weeks later, he has Art mini-camp. We have started a new hobby called Geocaching. FYI from Wikipedia: Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which participants use a GPS to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure," usually toys or trinkets of little value. Over 800,000 geocaches are registered on various websites devoted to the pastime. So far I'm surviving Porkchop's med break, but wow!, he is super-spastic with hyperactivity and super-constant talking/noise. I came across very valuable information (for me, at least) at the following website. It has helped me better accept and deal with his situation. www.kidsgrowth.com/resources/articledetail.cfm?id=971Maybe I'll discuss it further on the ADHD board sometime soon because the tips might help someone else with the same issues.

Katiekat,
Horseback riding on the beach sounds so neat! I would love to do that. I've noticed riders in our area before. Maybe someday I will get a chance to try it.

We are going camping for the weekend at the end of June. Like to go a second time in July. Hitting the beach in August.
Tiff will be attending the same day camp she has gone to for 4 years now. It is a great place and she loves it. She wants to go to a Girl Scout sleep away camp in June, but we still have issues with her not spending the night anywhere, so that may not work.
We are going to Six Flags amusement park this Saturday.

We have a couple of things planned and couple up in the air. We're going to spend a week at my sisters lake house over the 4th of July holiday. Our whole family comes up and we just have a riot. Then in August we're going back to the same campsite we just got back from. We loved it so much we signed up before we left camp. We're also planning a long weekend in Chicago. Josh has never been and he wants to go to the Aquarium and Science Musuem. We only live about 4 hours from there so it will be a quick weekend trip. I've got Josh signed up for basketball camp in July and he's going to take guitar lesson again. But most of my summer will be hanging out at all Josh's fishing holes. I usually take him 3 times a week. He fishes and I get to catch up on all the reading I didn't get to do all year! Hey Squirrelgirl...I want to come to your camp. Sounds like fun!

My mother in law is coming to visit from CA and I have a wedding at the end of August. End of June/Beggining of July is mine and DH's b-day's so we probably will try to get some alone time. Other than that, hanging at my parents lake trying to stay cool!

Lack of funds keeps us close to home but our mortgage is paid and utilities.
