Hi everyone!
I hope someone can help me, on the latest tech devices. My daughter will be entering high school in the new school year and we are now faced with school policies that has banned the devices that my daughter uses presently. However, one can use PDAs or a cell phone. She uses a data storage device to download text and any other reading material. There is enough Gbytes where she has the room to download 1 audio book. One can also record. Everyone knows the i-pod, her device is just another brand that offers more than the i-pod. Now these devices are merely flash drive technology, just as the PDAs, smart phones and the blackberries which all have flash drives in them to run the various features such as taking pictures, recording and whatever they have.
So in keeping with this stupid policy, I am seeking a PDA or a cell phone that is capable of downloading, taking pictures of blackboards/paper, recording and other features that will still function as a typical PDA or cell phone.
I do live far away from a major urban centre and I am dependent on the internet to do my research for high-tech items and other items that are not readily available.
Can anyone give me advice and name some brands that I can work around this one. As far as I am concern, the school policies are in the dark ages and their reasons are weak, considering that flash drive technology such as data/media storage devices will probably be an everyday item that is used by everyone including the grade one student who wants to record the class singing.
