Hello everyone!! I am new today thanks to Misty!! My name is Steph. I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. I am the mother of 3 boys. My middle boy, Jacob (who is 11 today) was diagnosed earlier this year as having a mild case of Asperger's. We have always felt that he was delightfully quirky, but he has issues at school, Sunday school and even when he played little league baseball. I had to get him help as I was out of my league and at my wits end.  I am still learning about the syndrome and how to get help from the school system. It is all very daunting!! I hope to make friends and learn how to help him get what he needs to lead a productive life. Thanks for having me!!!! |

Well, we're glad Misty sent you our way! Welcome to the site.
In my signature I say I have two nephews that are autistic but actually one of them I'm fairly certain is Aspergers but neither of them are officially dx'd. As the Aunt I really don't live the day to day stuff so won't be much help except to maybe chime in that my nephew is just like that or this.
But I can listen and if you ever need help finding any info I'll do my best to help you find it.

 Welcome Steph! I'm so glad you joined us! As I explained in my email, I'm not here as much as I used to be because of my husband's medical problems, but I do check in daily so drop me a PM if you ever need anything or have any technical questions about this site.
