8-)Finally-Woo hoo!!!!
I have found the place and the people who will be doing a complete evaluation on Sean. The first part will be the learning portion which will be on Oct. 1.That may or may not be broken up into 2 appointments depending on attention span. At that appointment we will schedule the psychological part. I am so happy to have finally found what I have been looking for!

CG, It is this place I sent you the link for. I asked her *specifically* what they would be doing and she starts listing all these tests and I was like OK YES this is what I have been searching for. We are not going to sit around and chit chat for 2 hours. After the learning(and possible speech/language) and psych testing we will then have a follow-up appt. to go over the results, discuss his strenghts and weaknesses, and get their recommendations. She also told me that it is common in this state for schools to not even consider evaluating until the child gets left back! Not waiting for that. Anyway, I think this is the real deal. I have to go back to NetHaven and thank Gina-I found this place through the COPAA site. It is maybe 5 minutes from my house, yet I never saw/heard of it. And thank you again for recommending that I go to the chat!!!  |

According to the website they have great credentials so I'm praying they are really interested in helping kids get the IEP's they need.
The ladies at Nethaven are really up on stuff and sometimes it really helps to be able to talk to someone one on one in real time.
I'm so glad they could help and I know Marge and Gina both will be thrilled that Gina could help you find a place to get the help you need.
