The United States Senate moved last week to declare September 18, 2008 AD/HD Awareness Day. The Senate has officially acknowledged AD/HD Awareness Day since 2004.
The Senate's action carries significant symbolic meaning for the millions of people affected by AD/HD. It also provides us all with an opportunity to raise awareness. We appreciate the dedication of Sens. Maria Cantwell (Washington), and Gordon Smith (Oregon), who worked in a bipartisan manner to make this possible.
