I met with the teachers the 3rd day of school, just to state some of the concerns I always voice at the beginning of the year. Haven't had IEP meeting yet this year. Still waiting for that to be set up. Tiff is doing so well so far this year. Spelling tests are up to 25-30 words and she is getting 100% Her first social studies test she took on Monday. It was on the 13 colonies. She got and 88%!!!!!!!!! On Sunday she still wasn't sure of all the 13 colonies. But aced it on the test. Her homework that asks for explanations for answers is so much easier for her so far. She is answering in more then a simple sentence answers. Just wanted to share in my happiness so far!!!!!!!!!!!! First large math test is next week. Fingers are crossed.

I am glad things are going well for you and tiff!
I will keep my fingers crossed for the math test.
Here I am still nervously waiting for the other shoe to drop. I get nervous when things are going as well as they are....I shouldn't I know.

I am glad it is going well for her. IEP's are an annual thing, my child's is in January.

Puzzled - I am waiting for the other shoe to drop too. She did really well last year for a while, then we went into the 30-40% tests. But she seems to be "getting" it easier this year. Not as frustrating and she is much better at letting me show her something without feeling like I am coming down on her.
