Anyone have experience with Nighty-night tea and any crazy don't take it with this med story? I used to drink it at night all the time in highschool. (I used to swim and pass out at 9 every night. When I stopped swimming I would be up until 2AM with way too much energy, so the tea helped).
Here is what the website says:
Ingredients: Organic passionflower herb [PhEur] 360 mg, Organic chamomile flower [PhEur] 255 mg, Organic linden flower [PhEur] 135 mg, Organic catnip herb [BHP] 45 mg, Organic hop strobile [PhEur] 30 mg.
Proprietary Blend: 675 mg, Organic spearmint leaf [PhFr], Organic lemon verbena leaf [PhFr], Organic lemon peel [BP], Organic West Indian lemongrass leaf
Contraindications: Do not use if you have known allergies to plants of the Asteraceae family (daisy) such as blessed thistle, calendula, chamomile, echinacea, safflower or yarrow.
Do not use if pregnant or breast-feeding unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
I couldn't imagine any of that causing problems with bipolar kids, or meds or anything, but why not when pregnant or breast feeding?
Actually, while I was on their sight, there's one just for kids. Do you think I should get that one instead of the regular one?
Anythoughts our help would be appreciated. TIA

I don't have any experience with this tea, but it sounds all right...I did respond on your other thread about trying melatonin. It is in the vitamin section of any store in the US...are you in the US? I cannot remember....LOL
I imagine that the warnings for pregnant and nursing women are just the universal 'better safe than sorry' warnings...they are not able to test many things on this group of patients, so they have to warn against them using the product.

A few years ago someone at my son's previous ADHD doctor's office once told me that if the night time tea blend had a certain herb in it, that it should not be taken if they were on some medication...hmmm I'm assuming they said stimulant meds. So whatever it was that I bought, it sat on the shelf. I could call her tomorrow and ask her what it was. Checking with his doctor might be the way to go.
