I read the about our family page and I can't imagine dealing with so many kids on the autism spectrum. Wow!

I saw that advertised. Shannon & I plan to watch it if we remember & if Bill isn't already watching something else. He gets first choice.

I hope I can remember to watch it or better yet I think I'll set up the DVR to record it. Thanks KK. I can't imagine having 6 with autism either. What are the chances of that happening I wonder?

What are the chances of that happening I wonder? It's either 3 to the tenth power or 10 to the third power, whichever is greaater.

Did anyone else watch this? I cannot imagine how those parents do it. I did find it a bit odd that they did not know that there were any problems with their kids for so long. Did they never go to a pediatrician? In this day and age you do not have to be an expert to know that something is going on. The oldest was in 5th grade before a teacher noticed there was a problem?? I just didn't get that.

I watched it. Shannon watched it with me. I was amazed at how calmly they handle everything. I think they deserve a lot of credit! I just love how they take everything in stride & get each child what he or she needs to best succeed. I hope they air an update in a couple years. I'd love to see how the kids progress.
I can completely understand not realizing. If they had never been around kids with Autism before, what would make them even suspect it? Shannon was almost in 4th grade until her LD's were caught. I knew she had problems but I never knew any kids with ADHD or LD's so those words never even crossed my mind until the school caught it & suggested we have her tested.

If you go to Discovery Health Channel's site they had dates of when they will be showing it again. They usually replay things a hundred times. They will also send you an e-mail reminder on the day it is on. That's the only way I remembered!
