I'm so sorry guys. Never mind I was super busy on Friday - I am so down in the dumps I don't even want to think about my weight. Last week I ate donuts three times, 2 candy bars, pizza twice, chinese food twice, lots of soda, hardly any water and on Thursday morning I winced at 178 on the scale (that's from 173 the week before) so friday I "forgot" to weigh myself. And promptly bought myself McDonald's for breakfast. I haven't exercised for two weeks, and I don't wanna. Saturday was my nephews birthday and I ate so much food, and today my daughter begged for pizza and I gave it. It's almost 9 PM and I'm still eating. I'm trying to rev myself up to have a really good week next week. I'm going to try something where you have 6 low calorie weeks (like 1200 for me) and then one high calorie day (like 2400 for me). So I'm thinking if I say "No donut until Sunday, no candy bar until Sunday, no soda until Sunday." Then maybe I'll be more successful.
I'm sorry for being such a downer. Just needed to complain for a min.
Here's to a successful week. I'm going to try to use my embarassement to fess up to another bad week to you guys as my motivation.

I am sorry you had a bad week anon. I fell off the dieting wagon the weekend my grandkids had their birthday party too. Musta drank 6 mountain dews in one day. Like an addict with a new supplier! LOL
But, I just told myself that I would do better the next week and I did. I continue to have a dew now and then...perhaps 2 of them a week....as compared to the former 2-3 a day it is a huge improvement. As for my chinese food habit? I am simply too busy to go and eat it anymore! I try to pick up takeout on Monday evenings to eat at the dance studio while I am answering phones...but sometimes don't have time....and my friend who is my chinese food buddy is extremely busy trying to pass a nursing school exam...so we have not connected lately. When that used to happen, I would grab chase, my youngest and we would do a weekend chinese food lunch...but I have been working both weekend days...so that has been out.
I stocked up on those frozen lean cuisine type meals for my freezer, and on salad fixins...but my boys love salad too, so sometimes there is none left for me...all week at work I have had a side salad and a parfait as my lunch
I weigh in at 179 last night, which is a tiny gain, but this week is my monthly visitor, so I am chalking it up to that....

Well puzzled, you and I are on the same cycle I made myself my regular lunch and left it at home, so I'm going to be good and go to subway for lunch today. Oh, and that reminds me, I'm going to log in my calories all week to see how I do. I weighed myself this morning and came in at 179.8. I'm going to do that each morning to keep me on my toes. Here's to a good week!!! Anon

I did not get my chinese takeout today, I ate a lean cuisine shrimp fettucini meal at about 2:30, then took some lowfat yogurt and frozen fruit with me to the dance studio and ate that when I was hungry.
My friend in nursing school will either pass her nursing exam by Wednesday or she won't...so we made a date to go out for Chinese for lunch on friday since I am off of work for a change. We will either be celebrating her passing her exam, or drowning her misery. She is not working right now due to being in school, and she tried to use that as her excuse but I told her that I would pay, we need to do lunch, we have not done it in quite a while. I plan on being REALLY good all week in preparation for my friday chinese fix!

I have not lost a pound but have discovered something good. After drinking water with lemon for the most part I am starting to actually like it AND I am starting to choose it over the Pepsi. The Pepsi is tasting too sweet and syrupy to me now. I still drink it when I eat but for the most part I am drinking the water throughout the day.

Woohoo KK! WTG H20 So I got on the scale this morning and it said 178. So moving down. Getting rehyrdrated. I was able to do good despite stressful situations, I just drank a small Diet Coke from BK. I came in at 1191 calories. And that included 7 cups of air popped popcorn that took me all night to munch on, so that was awesome. It was plan, but that's ok. It was really good for some reason. It would have been 8 cups, but my DD took a few bowl fulls, so I deducted 1 cup for her. On to another good day. Already drank 40 oz of water so far. Anon

Way to go KK!!!!
I haven't budged since my initial 3 lb loss. But starting my food journal again. When you write down what exactly you are eating, it does make a difference. So we will see how this week goes.

Good day yesterday. High sodium dinner but low cal. Turkey Deli Meat on Light Rye Bread. Mmmmmm. It was soooo good too. I think because I was so hungry and I knew it would bring me under my calories.
But this morning I came in at 178.0 again, I think just because of the sodium though. More water more water more water!
Unicorn-I started my journal too. I think I have a handle on it, but then I look back and think, man I was eating way too much. I'll be really good when I get to maintain, but I need to get there first lol.

Ok the scale went down!! Woohoo. 175.8 I made a change yesterday at lunch. I'm actually skipping my morning snack of yogurt because I'm not too hungry and my lunch wasn't enough.
I was eating a PB&J sandwich on wheat - 255 cals and Peanut Butter crackers - 200 cals.
Now I'm eating 4 oz of baked chicken breast - 130 cals Carrots - 40 cals and yogurt - 60 cals.
Way more filling. I'm hoping a low carb lunch will help with a energy drain I feel around 1:30 every day. It didn't work yesterday, so I try to fend that off with some green tea. We'll see how it goes today.
I'm just glad to be back on track.
