Went very well I found out my child has grown socially last year she was a loner this year she has matured and can actually communicate with her peers on the same level. I was told she is grouping with a couple of girls (no play date yet) and doing well. I am so relieved ;D. As for the medication after noons she is at her peek and mornings she is not all there like a zombie so out of it. I noticed it at home as well she cannot function in the mornings I do everything for her and feel she cannot honestly help it. I am unsure what to do give meds earlier? I can call the psychologist I guess to ask. I also found out she is a pleasure to have in class and makes the teacher laugh with her sense of humor.
The surprise was the teacher did not know of her actual diagnosis only the Special Ed teacher the consultant. I thought it was on record but no only the knowledge of IEP. I did inform the teacher so she can better understand the girl also I thought about it she knows my girl is on Ritalin big clue there. Anyways I talked with a friend of mine who just got her masters in special education and she said it is correct only the special ed needs to know for confidentiality so teachers cannot discuss a child and pre-label. It makes sense for you do not want your child labeled as trouble for kids change every year.

Well, I think that's great that she's making friends & doing better in school & I'm so glad the teacher has such a high opinion of her! Some people wake their kids up an hour early, give them their meds & then let them go back to sleep. When they wake up, the meds are already in their system. Might be worth a try.

I have been giving her the meds 15 minutes earlier and getting notes back saying it has helped. If it worsens I will go earlier but if 15 minutes helps I will leave it for now. I am happy for my girl.
